Abstract

This clinical study presents a case of root displacement into the maxillary sinus that is associated with oroantral communication. A modified Caldwell-Luc procedure was performed successfully for the retrieval of the displaced root from the maxillary sinus. The aim of this article was to highlight the principles and advantages of the modified approach in the management of such a case compared with the standard Caldwell-Luc approach.
