Abstract

The upper lip is often neglected when considering overall facial rejuvenation. With aging, the cutaneous lip elongates, the vermillion loses its volume and inverts, and there is loss of dental show. An upper lip lift can help reverse these changes. In this correspondence, we describe our modified bull's horn technique, which builds on the original description by Cardoso and Sperli, 1. Cardoso A.D. Sperli A.E. Rhytidoplasty of the upper lip. in: Transactions of the fifth international congress of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Butterworths, Australia1971: 1127-1129 Google Scholar in which only skin and subcutaneous tissue are removed. Our procedure is a simple, reliable, and effective method of improving upper lip shape.
