Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of the low understanding of students’ concepts in the physics subject at SMA Negeri 1 Keluang. This problem is caused by the lack of variation in the learning model and thelack og use of the media during the learning process. One alternative that can be done to overcome the problem is to implement a guided inquiry model by utilizing a media tracker software. With the guided inquiry model assisted by tracker software, it is hoped that it can provide natural encouragement for students to explore so that they canincrease learning activities and can improve conceptual understanding in students. Research aims to find out: The effect of guided inquiry learning assisted by tracker software on student’s conceptual understanding in SMAN 1 Keluang. The research is a experimental research. The study population was all studentof in grade X IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Keluang of academic year 2020/2021. The study used two sample with purposive sampling technique taken in two class. The first sample is IPA-2 (experiment) consist of 35 student and the second sample is X IPA-3 (control) consist of 36 student. The research instrument used was a description of 10 questions and in accordance with the indicator of understanding the concept that had been declared valid and reliable. Hypotheses were analyzed using SPSS 20 for windows with a significance level of 0,05. the Based on data analysis and hypothesis testing conducted, the result showed that there was a significant effect of guided inquiry learning model with tracker software on students conceptual understanding in SMAN 1 Keluang South Sumatera
