Abstract

Deals with methods of reconstruction of the specific electric conductivity in electric impedance tomography (EIT). A classification of the existing systems for data selection is proposed. The algorithms for image reconstruction are discussed from the point of view of methods for solving direct and reverse problems. Attention is given to the main mathematical problems arising in their solution. The method of finite elements is applied for direct EIT problem solving. The solution of the reverse EIT problem is done with the help of a modified Newton-Raphson method. Conclusions are given about development of the impedance tomography method. Ways for increasing its exactness and directions for the next experimental research are shown.
