Abstract

The development of sustainable solutions for the demanding challenges in mobility and transport research requires in particular the successful collaboration of interdisciplinary research groups. However, against the background of heterogeneous research cultures and sometimes poorly visible research networks, identifying relevant network partners can be very laborious. The Mobility Compass (www.mobility-compass.eu) supports researchers in this task with a comprehensive, open databased and independent view of the actors in the research landscape. It offers a modern thematic-explorative approach as well as classical search functions for this purpose. The development of the concrete functionalities is driven by the researchers themselves. This article describes the objective, the concept for implementation and the current status of this tool.
