Abstract

Practically all the relevant STM publishers, aggregators, and the major science libraries have rushed to incorporate OpenURLs and link resolvers in their staple offerings. Still, the revolution is far from having reached its end, as the new standard OpenURL 1.0 is about to be released by NISO, allowing for a much larger range of applications.
