Abstract

The tracking radar facility at the Millstone Radar Station of M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory was designed as a research tool in the study of high-power radar techniques. With the addition of a complex of digital data processing equipment, including the solid state computer CG 24, the Station has found extensive application to the detection and tracking of earth satellites, missiles and space probes. The nature and the performance of both the radar system and the data processing equipment are described in this report and an outline of the data processing programs currently in use in CG 24 is given. The nature and results of several specific operations are discussed.
