Abstract

The influence of the high pulse current on the temperature distribution of a thin metal wire is considered under the condition that the cross-sectional area of the wire has random values. The change of the wire impedance during the current pulse makes it possible to explain the anomalous behaviour of the microwave impedance, which has been obtained previously (1968).
