Abstract

The method of single phase same line installation of parallel gaps on a can effectively improve the lightning resistance level of 10kV overhead distribution lines. However, current related research methods only involve the effect on the lightning withstands level of 10kV single-circuit overhead lines. There are still problems in the matching of the number of parallel gaps, installation positions and discharge voltage values in multi-circuit lines. In this paper, a 10kV double-circuit overhead line lightning overvoltage simulation calculation model is established by ATP-EMTP. For multi-circuit 10kV overhead lines, the configuration method of single-phase installation parallel gap is considered, and the calculation process of the line lightning resistance level under different parallel gap installation methods is obtained. Taking double-circuit line as an example, the optimal installation method of parallel gap is obtained under inductive lightning and when lightning strikes tower top. The results provide a reference for the application of lightning protection methods for 10kV multi-circuit overhead lines.
