Abstract

The calculation of traditional electrical distance is based on the method of sensitivity. It transform the Jacobi matrix to the voltage/reactive power sensitivity and cluster the nodes represent the electrical distance that comes from sensitivity matrix elements. But this method is short of theoretical proof and a unified calculation method in mathematics. Different from the method of sensitivity, this paper propose a new method of complex power increment to describe electrical distance under the fact that active and reactive power are coupled and prove this method is analytic by deriving formula and analysis the numerical example.
