Cervical insufficiency is defined as painless cervical dilation leading to second-trimester pregnancy losses. [1]. There is good scientific evidence for improved neonatal outcomes to place a vaginal cerclage in women with a history of preterm delivery and whose cervical length is <25 mm between 16-23th gestatonal weeks [2].
