Abstract
Parliament is the forum where people gather, meet, exchange experiences, discuss propositions and make decisions. Parliament contributes a lot to the formation of a common space that expresses the political pluralism and cultural diversity of our region, and consolidates representative democracy and the social legitimacy of our integration efforts. The obstacles we are facing in the construction of Mercado Comum do Sul (Southern Common Market) (MERCOSUR) can only be surpassed with more dialogue, more integration and more MERCOSUR. It is important we make efforts so that MERCOSUR is closer to our people.
