Abstract

Abstract The basis of the teaching and upbringing process in schools is the assimilation by schoolchildren of the content of a system of academic subjects. Each school subject is a unique projection of some "high-level" form of social consciousness (from science, art, morality, law) onto the plane of assimilation. This projection has its own regularities which are determined by the goals of education, by the distinctive features of the actual assimilation process, by the nature and potential of the schoolchild's mental activity, and by other factors.
