Abstract

Deputy Commander and Chief of Hospital Services, USAF Hospital, Wiesbaden, Germany, and Consultant in Anesthesiology to the Surgeon, U. S. Air Forces in Europe. *COLONEL ARTHUR B. TARROW, received his medical degree from Syracuse University, served as a fellow in anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota, and earned a master of science degree in anesthesiology at Baylor University. *In the Regular Air Force since 1943, he is a member of the Board of Governors of the American College of Anesthesiologists and chairman of the Armed Forces Liaison Committee of The American Society of Anesthesiologists. Colonel Tarrow is author of the manual, Basic Sciences in Anesthesiology, A Guide For Study, with the fourth edition printed last year. A “Certificate of Achievement in Anesthesiology” with professorial “A” classification, awarded by the Surgeon General of the U. S. Air Force, is among his honors. *Colonel Tarrow was chief of anesthesiology service at the Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He started the USAF School of Anesthesiology at Lackland Air Base and served as its director. Currently he is Deputy Commander and Chief of Hospital Services, USAF Hospital, Wiesbaden, Germany, and Consultant in Anesthesiology to the Surgeon, U. S. Air Forces in Europe. His hobby is Boy Scouting. Colonel and Mrs. Tarrow are the parents of a son and two daughters.
