Abstract

This article describes the effects of cyclosporin A (CsA) on the immunopathological mechanisms operative in psoriasis, a human skin disease. The main focus is the effect of CsA on keratinocytes, T cells and antigen-presenting cells, the key players is lesional psoriatic skin. The effect of CsA on other cells, such as neutrophils and endothelial cells, which are important in the maintenance of psoriasis, are also discussed.
