Abstract
Although it has been widely used in the diagnosis and management of diabetes abroad, the application of hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)test is restricted due to the difference of test ability between various level laboratories in China. The methods, interference and standardization of HbA1c are still worthy of continuous paying attention by laboratory physicians. How to choose the most economical and efficient method, and how to provide accurate and reliable results for patients are the priorities which can promote the application of HbA1c in diabetes diagnosis and management in China.
