Abstract
BHRA's generic research programme in fluid mixing in stirred tanks, Fluid Mixing Processes (FMP), uses a wide variety of measuring techniques. Instrumentation is either developed in-house or adapted from outside organisations and developed further. This article covers the techniques employed for measuring liquid phase mixing, inter-phase mass transfer, liquid velocities, shaft mechanical loading and local solids concentration.
