Abstract

Amplitude spectra of low frequency electrochemical noise are presented which show a correlation between the rate and mode of corrosion attack and fluctuations of the corrosion potential. The results indicate the possibility of a non-perturbative electrochemical corrosion monitoring technique capable of detection of pitting and crevice attack.
