Abstract
An analogue of Pontryagin's maximum principle is derived in the class of positional controls (functions of the phase state and the time [1]). Corresponding adjoint first-order linear partial differential equations are presented. The use of the necessary conditions of optimality, to synthesize optimal systems is described.
