Abstract

The algorithm proposed in this paper is to make the low temperature waste heat power generation system with the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology running at maximum power point. The method using the Direct Current (DC) bus power which is rectified by the alternating current of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) as the objective function, and the maximum power point of the system is searched through the slope search method. In order to improve the speed of the optimization, the fuzzy logic strategy is used to automatically adjust the operating frequency of the Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) to replace the fixed step in traditional slop search algorithm. The new incremental is obtained according to the change rate of slope in the search process and the percentage of the generator output power. The practical application proves that the proposed method of the waste heat power generation system can realize Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) of power generation system, and the proposed slope search method is simple and effective.
