Abstract

The historical pattern of frequency and urgency of micturition is outlined and their role as the prime motivator of detrusor instability discussed. Thirty female patients were analysed; provocative cystometry was performed in 22 of them. Their management is reviewed and a programme of out-patient treatment submitted.
