Abstract

This study focuses on the ability of enuretic children, 5 to 14 years of age, to maintain therapeutic gains resulting from a 3 month psychologically oriented treatment with several newer psychopharmacologic agents. One-hundred and sixty-one treated enuretic children were evaluated 18 months after a final clinic visit. Average progress was maintained, and those children who made the greater gains during treatment exhibited the greater tendency to maintain progress. The therapeutic implications and the issue of spontaneous remission are discussed.
