Abstract

The article discusses the forensically relevant categories that are directly linked with the basic methodology of investigating crimes connected with the activities of foreign citizens and stateless persons. It is proven that the approach to formulating the clauses of this methodology should be practice-oriented. The author considers the opinion according to which the methodology of crime investigation could be called the methodology of “uncovering a crime”, which clearly determines its basic value for the implementation of goals of the law enforcement bodes. It is noted that crime investigation in general, including the investigation of those crimes connected with the activities of foreign citizens and stateless persons, is a creative process which, while being based on the foundations regulated by the current legislation, could expand its algorithms and methods. Key tasks and contents of the basic methodology are determined.
