Abstract

The victory of the August Revolution of 1945 started the era of national independence, civil rights and democracy for Vietnam. Recognizing the importance of land management for national development, the new state, immediately after gaining independence, adopted a new land management and land use policy aimed at stabilizing people's lives and meeting the needs of the entire population. During the 77 years of building and development of independent Vietnam, the country has gone through several historical periods in the development of land relations, and in each of them land administration and, above all, land management made a great contribution to the national revival. In this article, the author considers the main stages in the development of the land sector in the period from 1945 to the present, in order to determine its history as a basis for making guidelines and decisions to further improve the organization and increase the efficiency of land management in the country.
