Abstract
The article examines the main factors that determine the choice of instruments in the process of the agricultural policy implementation. It is noted the increased demand for certain research concepts to optimize and improve policy-making in the agricultural sector. It is accented that the agricultural sector of Ukraine's economy is the backbone of the national economy, which forms the factors for the preservation of state sovereignty, food and economic, environmental, and energy security, ensures the development of technologically related sectors of the national economy, creates a market for agricultural products and foodstuffs.
