Abstract
The multiferroic material BaMnF4 has been investigated with unpolarized and polarized neutron diffraction. The structurehas been shown to be antiferromagnetic. The magnetic moments are aligned at12° to theb directionin the bc plane, 3° different from the previously determined value. The ferromagnetic component that isindicative of the linear magnetoelectric effect was not observed.
