Abstract
Summary Magnetic measurements reveal that the natural moments of samples from the Brewster meteorite vary symmetrically from 2.9 × 10−1e.m.u./g at the edges to 5 × 10−1e.m.u./g at the centre. It is shown that the internal magnetization could be a TRM obtained in 0.1 Oe but that the edge magnetization, though like an IRM obtained in 450 Oe, seems to have resulted from the fall through the atmosphere.
