Abstract

In this study, a practical method for fabricating size-tunable and periodic CoFeB and CoFeB/Ag nanodot arrays on glass substrate was developed using a template transfer imprinting method, which consisted of nanoimprint lithography and vacuum magnetron sputtering. It was found that the coercivity could be distinctly enhanced by introducing periodic CoFeB nanodot arrays. Also, the coercivity of the CoFeB/Ag nanodot arrays could be flexibly tuned over a wide range by tailoring the thickness of the Ag layer, due to the interfacial magneto-electric coupling effect. Investigations such as those conducted in this study will provide promising references for the future fabrications of high performance nanostructured magnetic materials, which can be potentially utilized in many fields.
