Abstract

In this work the magnetic orientation of the hard ferrite filled elastomer during the vulcanization process is investigated. As base material, the sulphur cross-linked nitrile butadiene rubber with a hard ferrite mass fraction of 80 % was analysed. The magnetic orientation of the particles is performed by a coil integrated in the injection moulding tool. The magnetic field generated was conducted in the cavity by using magnetically conductive and non-magnetically conductive steels. Radially oriented and axially oriented demonstrators were injected. These demonstrators are then demagnetized and magnetized by suitable pulse coils. The magnetic evaluation of the signal in the manufactured demonstrators was performed.
