Abstract
The magnetic form factor of chromium ions in Al2O3 has been investigated using long-wavelength neutrons. The results provide an indication of the effects predicted by Hubbard and Marshall (1965) at low scattering angle arising from covalency. The feasibility of this method for the determination of covalency parameters is discussed.
