Abstract

The Australian Physiotherapy Association and many physiotherapy teaching staff have been vigorously seeking the transfer of physiotherapy education to a medical school. The move is opposed by La Trobe University, which obtained the course when the Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences joined the University. The merger was the occasion for a continuing argumerit over the control of physiotherapy education. The beginnings of this dispute are considered.
