Abstract

In the “missing partner” SU(5) model coupled to N = 1 supergravity the “missing partner” mechanism does not only solve the second hierarchy problem but also leads to weak interaction gauge symmetry breaking for arbitrary top quark mass. In this scenario the lower limit on the proton lifetime can impose a severe constraint on the low-energy supersymmetric particle spectrum. Predictions of the model are accessible at present energy or in the near future.
