Abstract

Measurements of the low-temperature specific heat, made in the temperature range 1.2 to 4.2 °K, of a series of dilute platinum-iridium and platinum-gold alloys are reported. The results are analysed in terms of the usual electronic and lattice specific heat contributions together with a constant term, the origin of which remains uncertain.
