Abstract

AbstractThe escape of certain cellular components (catalase, glucose‐6‐phosphate dehydrogenase, hexokinase, lactate dehydrogenase, adenosine‐triphosphate, glutathione) was studied in human red cells suspended in a hemolytic hypotonic salt solution containing dextran. There was in inverse relationship between size of a component and the relative amount of it escaping from the cell.
