Abstract

Objective Studying return of postoperative,to analyze follow up data of 120 cases pa-tients with intermittent exotropia of postoperative. Methods To analyze the relationship between the final eye position and the eye position of postoperative day one、age at onset、age at surgery、types of strabismus and pre-operative binocular vision of the 120 patients and to find out possible affect factors of intermittent exotropia re-turn.Results The final eye position were orthophoria in 90 cases(75%),exotropia in 29 cases(24.17%)and esotropia in 1 case(0.83%).We find that the final eye position of intermittent exotropia operation did not corre-lated with age at onset、age at surgery and type of strabismus, but with the eye position postoperative day one and preoperative binocular vision. Conclusions A relatively good correlation was found between the postopera-tive day one eye position、preoperative binocular vision and the final outcome. Therefore, patients overcorrected at postoperative day one and had preoperative binocular vision can achieve relatively good final ocular align-ment.
