Abstract

The best starting places for examining the literature on child abuse fatalities are special issues of child abuse journals. These are this issue of Child Abuse Review, a special issue of the APSAC Advisor, published by the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, and the ‘Spotlight on Practice’ section of an issue of Child Abuse and Neglect, the international journal. 1 Child Abuse Review, Vol. 4, Special Issue, Dec. 1995 2 The APSAC Advisor, Vol. 7, No. 4, Winter 1994 3 Child Abuse and Neglect, Vol. 19, No. 7, 1995, ‘Spotlight on Practice’ section, pp. 843–883 The most important references on child abuse fatalities are discussed at length in the special issues. The following bibliography provides a selective listing of the main references under topic headings. These headings are only for general guidance as many papers discuss various aspects of child deaths. Copyright © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
