Abstract

The article analyzes phytonyms – special plant names, which are one of the types of nominative nouns of living – bionyms, it also based on the materials of Uzbek language explores their linguistic characteristics, their place on onomastic surface, their difference from ordinary appellative lexemes, motivational-nominative essence. The linguistic status of phytonyms is defined based on analyses and examples.
