Abstract
The paper studies the chemical expansion of mayenite induced by variation in oxygen activity. The value of the former is measured by dilatometry. Peculiar structural features of mayenite allow one to predict its high stability under the oxygen activity gradient. The change in the mayenite size is shown to be remarkably smaller compared to that in conventional materials.
