Abstract

Symptomatic COVID-19 cases in children are uncommon and their clinical course is relatively mild. In particular, infected children displayed non-specific lung findings on chest image studies, and rarely required respiratory support or ICU care. Notably, some pediatric cases persistently test-positive on rectal swabs in addition to a positive nasopharyngeal test. - submission by Sarah Gibson, Charlotte Zhang, Oulan Li, Yi Xu
