Abstract

Orhan Pamuk, being a son of a family with republican ideas, has always felt and seen his strong dependence on Western intelligence, the expression of which is also visible in his works. Thus, Orhan Pamuk is the author of 11 novels and articles-conversations, biographical and small-scale works written on various topics, which are still known to the world's reading-society. And this set of the most controversial, most read and bestselling books of modern Turkish literature has brought Orhan Pamuk the fame and wide recognition in the local and foreign literary worlds, being translated into 60 languages and distributed in approximately 11 million copies.
