Abstract

The Study aimed to identify the level of the usage of the extension methods by workers in agricultural extension in Salah Al-Din Governorate in each of the following fields (individual, group, and Mass), As well as arrange the fields of using extension methods In descending order, As well as arranging the paragraphs of each field of ​​the extension methods according to the percentage weight, Determine the correlation relationship between the level of usage of agricultural extension methods and a number of related variables, As well as identifying the most important problems that hinder the usage of extension methods, The Study was conducted on a random sample consisting of (140) respondents representing 50% of the respondents working in agricultural extension at the Governorate Agricultural Directorate Center and its affiliated agricultural divisions, in addition to the Governorate Extension Training Center, and in order to collect data, the researcher prepared a questionnaire form consisting of two parts: The first part included personal and functional variables related to the employees who use the extension methods in the extension work, While the second section was represented by measuring the level of the usage of the extension methods in the extension work, and after data were collected, unpacked and classified, Statistical means were used to analyze the data, and the most important results that were reached are all the following: - The results of the study showed the superiority of the group extension methods over the other of the methods in terms of the level of the usage, and the results showed a significant correlation relationship between the level of the usage of the extension methods and each of the following variables (In-service training, number of in-service training sessions, exposure to information sources, nature of work in agricultural extension) and the absence of a moral relationship between the level of use of the extension methods and each of the following variables (age, total employment service period), and the results of the study showed that there are a number of problems that hinder or find from the workers' use of extension methods in the extension work, the problem (lack of sufficient time for the agricultural guide to reach all farmers) came first. While the problem of (lack of sufficient transportation means to transport extension workers to farmers) came to the last place, The researcher recommended increasing the cadre of agricultural extension agents, especially graduates of the Agricultural Extension Department, in Faculties of Agriculture, to cover most of the areas that fall within the limits of their work, by granting employment opportunities.
