Abstract

The current study aimed to reveal the level of third-grade intermediate students in linguistic sense skills and its relationship to the attitude towards the Arabic language; To achieve this goal, research materials and tools were prepared, which consisted of: a list of appropriate linguistic sense skills for third-grade intermediate students, a test of linguistic sense skills; To measure these skills, the measure of attitude towards the Arabic language, and a delegation of the stability and validity of these tools were confirmed, after that the study sample was selected from among the third intermediate grade students in the education of Asir in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the study sample consisted of (136) students in the third intermediate grade, The descriptive approach was used; This is due to its relevance to the nature of the current study, after which the study tools were applied, then the statistical analysis, the interpretation of the results and the provision of recommendations and suggestions. The results showed: a decrease in the level of third-grade intermediate students in linguistic sense skills, as well as a low level of students' attitude towards the Arabic language
