Abstract

This paper studies some parameters of animals’ immune status in case of combination and traditional therapy. The positive dynamics of circulating immune complexes (CICs) in the blood flow and restoration of the composition of white blood cells after combination therapy of sheep with spontaneous invasion with gastrointestinal strongylata were revealed. Preliminary subcutaneous double injections of ribotane at a dose of 0.05 mL/kg and fenbendazole given once orally at a therapeutic dose of 5 mg/kg cause a significant remission of the CICs in the blood flow of animals (74.3 ± 3.49 un.opt.dens. E450; p < 0.05) and prevent the development of functional disorders of blood formation, restoring the composition of white blood cells (lymphocytes and eosinophils) to the initial level in the early stages after the administration of the drugs. The studies have shown that the remission of the CICs and restoration of blood formation are a reflection of the effectiveness of treatment and completion of the pathological process. The possible mechanisms of immune complexes' clearance in the circulation and causes for the restoration of the composition of white blood cells after the combined treatment are discussed.
