Abstract
The lecture is an educational tool that allows a teacher to cover and relate the main ideas of a course that is to follow. It is a means of imparting knowledge by telling an audience (which can be of considerable size) a mixture of facts, opinions and interpretations. There are many ways to aid one in remembering the key points in setting out to use the lecture as an educational tool. The key points are preparation, enthusiasm, rehearsal and careful timing.
