Abstract

Silver film was deposited on cyanate ester composite by arc ion plating technology; the thickness of the coating, the surface resistance of the coating, the surface morphology and the membrane-based bonding strength were measured by surface profiler, four probe instrument, election microscope and electronic tension machine respectively. The influences of different process parameters on the deposition rate, electronic conductivity and feeding force of metal films were obtained by analyzing the test results. The results show that the target distance is the most important factor affecting the deposition rate of metal silver. Under the same working current, the lower working pressure, the higher deposition rate of metal silver on the surface of cyanate ester composite, the higher membrane-based bonding strength and the finer surface. The higher the working current, the higher the average deposition rate, the better the thickness and hardness of the metal coating. The uniformity of film was greatly improved by optimizing the parameters.
