This article explores noteworthy parallels between the distinctive brand of masculinity exhibited by the television character Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (played by Timothy Olyphant), Justified’s (law)man in the cattleman hat, and the 1950s man in the gray flannel suit.
