Abstract

New radial velocity and photometric data for DU Leonis have been obtained, and Roche-based simultaneous analysis of RV and light curve data for DU Leo has been accomplished for the first time, using the 2003 and 2015 versions of the Wilson-Devinney code. Values for the masses and radii have been obtained: M1 = 0.937 (5) Mʘ, M2 = 0.921 (5) Mʘ, and R1 = 1.25 (1) Rʘ, R2 = 1.21 (1) Rʘ. For the luminosities the most likely values are L1 = 1.66 (3) Lʘ and L2 = 1.50 (3) Lʘ. Both stars are at or near the end of hydrogen-burning in the cores, and are moving toward the red giant phase.
