Abstract

Deepwater cores collected at the AMK 5536 and AMK 5524 stations in the northeast of the Norwegian–Greenland Basin during cruise 68 of R/V Akademik Mstislav Keldysh were studied using the techniques of sedimentology and micropaleontology. The changes in the communities of benthic foraminifera of the Norwegian Sea aquatic area, including their variations in time, were considered. The obtained data provided a way to perform paleooceanological reconstructions in relation to marine isotope stages.
