Abstract

The metamorphosed differentiated volcanogenic strata of the Aralbai Group have been studied in the eastern part of the Precambrian Ulutau massif of Central Kazakhstan. The U–Th–Pb (SIMS) crystallization age of 757 ± 7 Ma has been obtained for the first time for andesidacites of the Aralbai Group, indicating the formation of these suprasubduction volcanic rocks at the end of the Tonian period of the Neoproterozoic.
