Abstract

AbstractIt is with the deepest regret and sorrow that we record the death of Dr. Rowe, who passed away suddenly on Tuesday, 11th May, 1937. The Bronte Society owes him a deep debt of gratitude, and his loss will be felt by every member. For eleven years he was Chairman of the Council. During his tenure of office the late Sir James Roberts handed over the Bronte Parsonage Museum to the care of the Bronte Society.
